“Outer Orbit infuses modern Hawaiian vibes with retro arcade energy, serving up everything from pinball to pig melts and craft beer to chicken katsu curry.”

“A great item to order would be the gojuchang chicken wings, 10 or five pieces to an order, with a creamy dipping sauce.”

“Instead of the usual cornmeal, the batter is made with malasada dough. With sweetness similar to a doughnut, it contrasts with the savory hot dog and spicy jalapeño-lined innards.”

Some Culinary Context

We love garlic noodles! This dish is made in collaboration with Outer Orbit and features yakisoba noodles with lots of garlic and butter. We season it with soy sauce, mirin, and Maggi. Plus the "secret" ingredient...parmesan! It's easy to prepare and makes a super onolicious lunch or dinner. Enjoy plain or pair with any meat or vegetable side. Outer Orbit serves it with lumpia!

Onolicious Hawai’i

“In Hawai‘i, food continues to evolve. A lot of conceptions people have of Hawaiian food is L&L and Hawaiian barbecue, which is not inaccurate,” Gainsley says. “I think there are a lot of chefs in Hawai‘i that were trained in places like SF and New York and came back and brought their technique with them. So the evolution of food has really taken off. That was part of what we were trying to do, is bring a taste of what’s going on in Hawai‘i right now.”
